We extend our warmest congratulations to Dayle Stevens, Divisional Chief Information Officer of SBA member AGL Energy, for being included on the 2018 Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence list. It is well-deserved recognition for Dayle’s achievements and leadership at AGL. The list recognises women from a range of backgrounds who are committed to causes and effecting change.

The winners of each of the 10 categories and the overall winner will be announced in Sydney on October 17. Congratulations Dayle, and best of luck for the final announcement!

Media release: SBA welcomes ride-share innovator Liftango as its newest member

Australia’s leading peak body for driving business action on the sustainable development agenda, Sustainable Business Australia (SBA) is delighted to welcome Liftango to its membership, joining other leading organisations committed to the transition to a sustainable Australia.

Liftango is an innovative corporate rideshare and demand-responsive technology company which is addressing major mobility and liveability challenges with its solutions. After having been established in 2016 through the NRMA-sponsored Jumpstart Accelerator program, Liftango is now growing rapidly, counting a number of large organisations as clients.

Media release: Sustainable Business Australia welcomes Professor Kate Auty as Board Director

Australia’s peak body for sustainable business, Sustainable Business Australia (SBA), warmly welcomes Professor Kate Auty as a Director (co-opted), further expanding the expertise and leadership of the SBA Board.

Professor Kate Auty is currently the Commissioner for Sustainability and the Environment (ACT), a Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne and holds a number of board and committee positions. Kate is also the Chair of the Banksia Foundation, Australia’s longest running sustainability recognition and awards program. During her impressive career she has held the position of Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability in Victoria and worked as a Magistrate, Coroner and Mining Warden.

“We are delighted to welcome Professor Auty whose track record for leadership in sustainability and the environment has ensured she is widely regarded and respected,“ SBA CEO and Company Secretary, Andrew Petersen, said.

“Professor Auty’s expertise and perspective on sustainability as a whole-of-economy imperative will be invaluable as SBA moves through a period of significant growth.”
